Destiny & Sequels

16.September.2014

I know the whole world is playing Destiny at this very moment. They might even be playing it some were in a village and we might not even know, but this game has been good, it has been hyped, and it has been purchased by the whole world and that is a lot of gamers. One has to think with all this success do you think they might make sequels to Destiny?

I mean the possibility is there, take a look at the video games that are out GTA, Call Of Duty, Battlefield, Halo (Also a Bungie classic) and Assassins Creed, all of these games have numerous sequels and there are a lot more games out there that have sequels. Some games developers are tasked with releasing a new game every year. The biggest example is sports games, all  sports games have a new release every single year and usually the updates or improvements is something very small or "tiny" upgrades. The graphics get updated and they look amazing or better than the last version, but will this happen to Destiny? Will all the hype and all the fame that is getting on all consoles bring more sequels to the next gen and later gens of gaming? Or wil Destiny be a one hit wonder with hundreds of expansions and updates like the vast majority of Massively Multiplayer Online gamers available today. Would a Destiny 2 make sense given the story line or will it be better for Bungie to use what they have learned and create another epic release as Halo was so many years ago and how Destiny is turning out to be now.

In the opinion of ProGamers, sequels that look good and that are not entirely the same than the previous game, for example on one hand we have the Mass Effect trilogy, those games created a whole new world for players to explore and the story was immersing and had so many different endings and way you could play and every game continued the story and told one of the best Sci-Fi stories we have seen. On the other hand we have Call of Duty which releases a new game every year and every year the same thing happens, "It's exactly like the last one there's just this little difference". yet we still buy them and give the developers money this is why they keep making them. Game sequels should make you want to play and make you want to continue the story not get them because they're the newest version of a bland story. What do you think to Gaming sequels and the possibility of a Destiny 2?
