Is gaming good for children?
5.August.2014
Researchers have done another study, this time it shows that if children play one hour of video games that it will be good for them only if its one hour or less. They have found that when children do play an hour or less they become more adjusted and fewer conduct problems. The other "add-on" that children get while playing games is that they have better empathized with others.
But when something like a murder happens or something bad happens with the children or young adults that have outburst and do play games they immediately blame the games, the game developers and the game community. Its all fine and dandy that they do research and do all this brain storming but they really need to make up there mind of were "in there views" games will fall. For me games are good some people use it as an escape from there life's and actually do fall in love or fall into the community of people that might be friendlier than people in real life. And there is the ones that do game but for fun, gaming has become a perk to some its enjoyable and at the same time you have children who get on and just try to be hard balls online aka internet warriors.
Gaming is fun for everyone, there just has to be a limit. I believe that young children should not be allowed on games that have violence, we do not want to hear the words "its games that turns children or anyone else like this" if you do research and do say something positive then leave it at a positive level and do not go back on it.
Oxford experimental psychologist Andrew Przybylski said he hopes the view of parents changes and comforts parents who think video gaming harms the children. Andrew Przybylski also stated that "he hopes the results will comfort parents who think playing video games is harmful for their children. Future studies on the subject should look at other aspects of gaming, including children's motivations for play and the "structural affordances of different kinds of gaming contexts."
